How does porosity affect your waves?

Hair porosity simply refers to how well your hair can absorb and retain moisture. To get the best results from the products you use to achieve 360 waves, it's important to figure out your hair porosity. As a coarse hair waver, I've discovered that my hair porosity is high which basically means that it gets dry fast. I've also noticed that when using pomades or curling products, my hair would over-curl like crazy. I find that moisturizer and oils work best for my hair after a wash and style method.
